escape is constant and never complete
A wall is never only a wall. It is a permission, a schedule, a neighbour with an opinion, and a date on which someone else decides whether the painting stays.[1]
Escape here does not mean leaving. It means moving through the places that hold you, again and again, and leaving a mark each time that the place cannot fully absorb.[2]
This series works in that space: paintings made to be moved, murals made to be outlived, and a radio station that exists mostly as sound passing between two cities.[3]
